Buccaneers hit London -- finally

The Bucs arrived here in London shortly at 11 p.m. local time after a nearly eight-hour transatlantic flight that left Tampa this morning.

The team checked into its downtown London hotel and many players and staff immediately set out to explore the surrouding area. They won't have much time for that when the team gets down to business on Saturday. There is a practice scheduled for Wembley Stadium where Sunday's game will be played, and there will also be last-minute fine-tuning to do in meetings.

As for playing the game abroad, coach Raheem Morris said the goal of expanding the reach of the game is a worthy endeavor.

"That's where we're trying to go," he said. "The flight really wasn't that had. It's (like) a West Coast trip, but you're going to London. That's where the league wants to go, that's where we want to go. We want to make our game international and that's a lot of fun."
