Changing roles is nothing new to Earnest Graham, so he's taking his latest switch - to fullback to replace the injured B.J. Askew - in stride.

Askew is out for the season after getting in a car accident (Oct. 12), when he was rear-ended while seemingly on his way to One Buc Place in the morning. So now Graham steps in as fullback, where he started last week and played a bit last season.

"It's nothing new, really," Graham said. "I've played the position, I've played the position well. So it's what I've been doing."

As for Askew's freak accident?

Said Graham: "It happens, man. It's the NFL plus, life too, outside of the building. It makes for a lot of different opportunities. Guys have to be there to step up."

On Wednesday, the Tampa police released the report of a three-car crash that injured Askew on Oct. 12.

According to the report, the crash happened at about 8:15 a.m. at W Dr.Martin Luther King Boulevard and N Habana Avenue. Askew was stopped at a red light on westbound Dr. Martin Luther King in a 2003 Mercedes when a 2006 Ford, driven by 37-year-old Christopher Graham, crashed into him from behind.

Officers said Graham was going about 30 mph and failed to notice Askew's car stopped at the light. Askew then hit a 2004 Chevrolet, driven by Cecil Lloyd, 79, stopped in front of him at the light.

Graham was cited for careless driving.
