Tuskers coach Jim Haslett takes aim at the Bucs

Jim Haslett, head coach of the United Football League's Florida Tuskers, took a few thinly veiled shots at the Bucs while appearing on a radio show with WDAE-620's Ron Diaz and Ian Beckles this morning.

The Tuskers (3-0), featuring former Bucs Dexter Jackson, Michael Pittman and Matt Bryant, among others, play host to the Las Vegas Locomotives Friday at 7 p.m. at Tropicana Field.

In mentioning Bryant, Haslett volunteered, "I don't understand why he's not still playing with the Bucs.''

Asked by Diaz how Bryant is kicking for the Tuskers, Haslett responded:

"I think he's an excellent kicker, but there's a lot of things that go on in the NFL,'' Haslett said. "Why did the Rams trade Will Witherspoon? Why do you hire Raheem Morris? It's endless in the NFL right now. I'd like to have our team play a couple of those teams, to be honest with you.''
