Bucs sign CB Mickens from Cowboys practice squad
The Bucs continue to raid other teams for talent.
Late Monday, Tampa Bay signed former University of Cincinnati defensive back Mike Mickens from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad.
Mickens, 22, was a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys in April. The 6-foot, 189-pound Mickens was considered a first-round talent until a torn meniscus in his knee forced him to miss the final three games for the Bearcats last season. He also was unable to participate in the Senior Bowl of the NFL scouting combine. At Cincinnati, Mickens had a school-record 14 interceptions in 47 starts.
