Too early for 0-16 talk, but tough schedule lies ahead for Buccaneers
Two months into the NFL season, there now is just one winless team remaining: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the Rams and Titans winning on Sunday, the 0-7 Bucs are in a class by themselves.
I'll spare you the speculation about them going 0-16. With so much football left, it's still too early for that. But it's not too early to take a hard look at lies ahead for the remainder of the season.
Of the Bucs' nine remaining games, six are against clubs that have a .500 record or better. They play the undefeated Saints twice and have a pair of matchups against the 4-2 Falcons. They must travel to Miami to play the Dolphins, who are heating up. They must cross the continent to play at Seattle a week before Christmas, when the weather won't be in their favor.
With a slate of remaining opponents with a combined record of 36-22 (.611 winning percentage), finding that first win won't be easy.
BUCS REMAINING SCHEDULE:
Nov. 8: Packers
Nov. 15: at Dolphins
Nov. 22: Saints
Nov. 29: at Falcons
Dec. 6: at Panthers
Dec. 13: Jets
Dec. 20: at Seahawks
Dec. 27: at Saints
Jan. 3: Falcons
