Bucs GM Mark Dominik already eyeing Suh

Peter King of Sports Illustrated is looking ahead to the draft, as are the Bucs and Rams, owners of the league's worst records and likely the highest draft picks.

So King spoke with those teams' respective general managers last night, including Mark Dominik of the Bucs. He came away feeling convinced that dominant Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will be the first pick in the draft

King wrote in his column on SI.com, "There's little doubt that Suh will be at the top of the draft boards of both teams. Usually there's some doubt who the premier player in the draft will be four months out, but not this year."

King quotes Dominik as saying, "He's got to be at the top, or very near the top, of every team's draft board."

King adds that "one GM of a losing team who has scouted Suh told me he has 'Richard Seymour strength and Warren Sapp quickness.'''

Last quote from Dominik: "The only thing that worries me is living up to the hype. If he gets six sacks as a rookie playing defensive tackle, someone's going to call him a bust because of the high expectations. How's he going to handle that?''

Around here, six sacks would be acceptable for a defensive end, much less a tackle. Expectations is the name of the game in the draft. It's part of the deal.
