No sign of Glazer brothers after today's game
We waited .... and waited and waited.
But we saw no sign of the Glazer brothers after today's game, although they almost certainly were in the building (the private security guys wearing earpieces and dark suits are usually a good indication).
Several members of the media wanted to ask the obvious questions -- what they thought of the season, do they plan to retain Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik -- but we never got the chance. Whether they ducked out a back door or took a different route than usual out of the stadium we may never know.
So, we remain in the dark about ownership's plans and likely will remain so until the business of 2010 gets underway. That's usually the scouting efforts that begin at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. in a few weeks.
Jon Gruden was fired three days before the coaching staff was to report for workouts in advance of that game.
To give this some perspective, the Glazers were very visible after the past two games -- those were both on the road -- greeting players with high fives and back slaps as they entered the locker room. They didn't comment after those games either, but we laid eyes on them and were at least able to exchange some words.
