Former Bucs WR Antonio Bryant signs with Bengals for $28 million
Antonio Bryant is headed to Cincinnati, having agreed to a four-year, $28 million contract today. The details have been divulged by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Bryant was the Bengals' No. 1 target at receiver all along, and today they got their man after opting not to make an offer to veteran Terrell Owens, who arrived for a visit last night. It's been reported that the Bengals never made even a throwaway offer to Owens, meaning they had their hearts set on Bryant all along.
Bryant and Chad Ochocinco will provide a nice tandem for quarterback Carson Palmer, giving Bryant a chance to play with the sort of playmakers he hasn't had alongside him during his career.
