Geno Hayes working way back from shoulder injury
Geno Hayes is here at One Buc Place with dozens of his teammates today as offseason conditioning gets underway, and the starting outside linebacker said he is working feverishly to recover from a serious right shoulder injury that ended his 2009 season.
Hayes suffered a torn labrum but will be ready for training camp, which is the most critical issue. He'll be limited during offseason workouts, including OTAs, but he is making the most of his time in the interim.
Hayes said he's been at the facility on a regular basis since the season ended, watching lots of film and just generally trying to build on what he started last season when he led the club with 14 tackles for loss and ranked second with 136 tackles.
"The rehab is going good and I'm planning on being involved," Hayes said.
This is a big offseason for Hayes now that he has some film to assess having been a starter for the first time.
