Safety Sean Jones close to a deal with the Bucs?
The Bucs have told Eagles free agent safety Sean Jones they would like to sign him. Now they're trying to make it happen.
The sides have continued talks today in an effort to move closer to a contract, a positive sign since Jones had a visit with the Tennessee Titans on Monday. That visit concluded without Jones signing a deal, giving the Bucs ample opportunity to close a deal of their own. Jones visited Tampa Bay on Friday but postponed a decision until his stop in Nashville.
Jones, 28, has started 53 of his past 59 games with the Eagles and Browns, including nine in Philadelphia last season.
