As the Bucs search for an answer to their pass-rush needs, a dream scenario for many Tampa Bay fans is seeing N.C. State defensive end Bradley Chubb, seen by most as the top defensive lineman in the draft, fall to the Bucs at No. 7.

Chubb has his pro day today in Raleigh, and there's a strong Bucs contingent in attendance — general manager Jason Licht, director of player personnel John Spytek and two scouts, according to Packpride.com's Cory Smith.

What's more, ProFootballTalk.com reported that all the teams picking in the top seven — that would include the Bucs — had private meetings with Chubb in advance of today's pro day.

Chubb had 10 sacks and 26 total tackles for loss this past season, forcing three fumbles as well. He finished with 73 tackles in 12 games.

How does Chubb fall to the Bucs at 7? It certainly helps if four quarterbacks go in the top six picks, as many expect. It's reasonable to expect Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is another, which means one other player — Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson, or a defensive back like Alabama's Minkah Fitzpatrick — goes in the top six, and that leaves Chubb for the Bucs.
