The 2018 NFL schedule won't be released until 8 p.m. tonight, but the Bucs' eight home games were posted early — and presumably accidentally — on the team's site, showing what would be a daunting start to the upcoming season.
Multiple outlets are reporting the Bucs will open their season at the NFC South champion Saints on Sept. 9, and the page on the team site shows an even tougher home opener, playing host to the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles on Sept. 16. The next week, the Bucs would play host to the Steelers on Monday night, Sept. 24.
The remaining home games, as posted on the site: vs. Browns (Oct. 21), Redskins (Nov. 11), 49ers (Nov. 25), Panthers (Dec. 2), Saints (Dec. 9) and Falcons (Dec. 30).
The Bucs would have three straight home games in Weeks 12 through 14, but would have two of their last three on the road.
The difficult start makes it all the more important that the Bucs not open the season with quarterback Jameis Winston suspended. He's under investigation by the NFL, accused of groping a female Uber driver in Arizona in 2016, something he has denied since it was initially reported in November.
We'll update as we know more about the schedule …
