One Bucs player will be departing Nashville before the team does.

Defensive tackle Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, a seventh-round pick from Southern Cal in 2017, was waived injured Thursday. Tu'ikolovatu suffered what is believed to be a triceps injury.

The Bucs signed  former Caroina Panthers defensive tackle Drew Iddings to take his roster spot.

Tu'ikolovatu never appeared in a regular season game for the Bucs. After playing in three preseason games as a rookie, he injured his right knee and was placed on injured reserve. He played in last week's preseason opener at Miami.

The 6-f00t-5, 290-pound Iddings signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent from South Dakota in 2016. In 2017, he was in the rookie minicamp with the Saints, who wanted to move him to offensive guard.

After the Saints waived him in June, the Panthers moved him back to defensive tackle.

In four seasons at South Dakota, Iddings had 149 career tackles, 7.5 sacks, 32 passes defensed and forced two fumbles.
