As Bucs sign CB Grimes, wife rips Dolphins
The Bucs made a major signing Friday with the addition of former Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, but their fans learned quickly that with Grimes comes his outspoken wife Miko, who pulled no punches in ripping her husband's former team.
"the Bucs are a REAL organization, being ran (sic) PROPERLY, unlike that dumpster fire in the AFC East we just left!" Grimes wrote in a response posted to Instagram by Sun-Sentinel writer Omar Kelly, who shared radio show with her in Miami.
Miko Grimes has been a vocal critic on her Twitter account, but had suspended it Friday as Grimes' signing came with the Bucs. Her response suggested she'll be back on social media soon and isn't changing how she speaks her mind.
"They wouldn't DARE ask me to delete my twitter! i deleted my twitter bc i didn't want the twitter gangsters and thumb thugs to have anyone to @ when they found out the Bucs (and multiple other teams) made them all look STUPID!" she wrote. "who doesnt want a pro bowl corner thats doing (stuff) NO OTHER CORNER IN THE LEAGUE CAN DO! men lie! women lie! stats lie! the media lies! u know whats undefeated? FILM!!! we are HAPPY and i dont feel like sharing it with anyone just yet. ill be back very soon and ill be the same supportive, dedicated, truthful (expletive) i was before i left!"
Miko Grimes was arrested at a Dolphins game in September on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer, accused of walking through a restricted area outside the stadium and resisting physically until she was threatened with a Taser.
Just two days before the Bucs signed Grimes, a report from Bleacher Report said his wife's nature was part of why the Dolphins cut him and was enough that three NFL general managers said they wouldn't sign Grimes because of her. Grimes also appeared to threaten Miami Herald reporter Armando Salguero, writing "that fat (expletive) armando thinks he's safe from bullets bc we might be released is the funniest part of this whole things."
