As Cards lead, four Bucs players leave game with injuries
Literally adding injury to insult, the Bucs have had four players done for the day with injuries as the Arizona Cardinals lead 33-7 in the fourth quarter Sunday.
The most notable of the injuries is starting running back Doug Martin, who left the game early in the second quarter with a hamstring injury after totaling 23 yards on seven carries. Starting defensive end Robert Ayers left the game with an ankle injury, though the fact that he didn't return could be influenced by the lopsided score of the game he would be returning to.
Tight end Luke Stocker, who started the game, left with an ankle injury, and receiver Cecil Shorts injured his hamstring on his first catch with the Bucs, pulling up and going down in the open field with the injury.
It's unknown which of the injuries could carry over to next week's home game against the Rams. Rookie cornerback Vernon Hargreaves left the game briefly with an ankle injury, but returned to the game.
