At least 20 due in for Bucs' local predraft workout
Each NFL team gets 30 private workouts at their own facility before the draft, but they also get one local workout for players with local ties. The Bucs have theirs on Friday, less than two weeks before the NFL draft, and we've identified 20 draft prospects confirmed to be attending.
Seven played in college at USF -- QB Steven Bench, OL Thor Jozwiak, OL Brynjar Gudmundsson, TE Sean Price, DE Eric Lee, S Jamie Byrd and P Mattias Ciabatti. There could be others from USF, but that's all we've been able to confirm.
Here are 13 other players who played locally in high school and will be attending the local workout. Most will end up as undrafted free agents, but a handful, such as WR Geronimo Allison, are expected to be drafted. We'll add more names as we confirm them.
