Barron out with hamstring, Tandy to start vs. Rams
ST. LOUIS -- The Bucs will face the Rams without starting safety Mark Barron, who did not travel with the team Saturday and will miss the game with a hamstring injury he suffered in last week's loss to San Francisco.
Tampa Bay will instead have another second-year safety starting in Keith Tandy, who has started three games in place of Dashon Goldson this season.
With defensive end Da'Quan Bowers also out with a knee injury, the Bucs on Saturday promoted defensive lineman Matthew Masifilo from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Masifilo, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound Stanford grad, was inactive for seven games with the Bucs last season and has been on the team's practice squad all season.
