Bucs' Alexander plays after brother's death in Alabama
ATLANTA -- An exceptional game from Bucs rookie linebacker Kwon Alexander on Sunday has a tragic story, as his teenage brother, Broderick Taylor, was killed in a fight in their hometown of Alabama on Friday.
According to the Anniston Star, an Alabama man has been charged with murder in the death of Broderick Taylor. Alexander tweeted about losing his brother early Saturday morning.
"I cant believe u gone lil bro @Brod_Taylor," he wrote. "Ima hold it down tho man! Just watch over me man I love you man! Wish I could've took u with me."
Later, he wrote: "I don't know what to do right now man! I'm hurting so bad inside."
Alexander, a rookie linebacker from LSU, made several key plays in the Bucs' game against the Falcons, creating two turnovers. He forced a fumble from Falcons star receiver Julio Jones and recovered it, then later intercepted a pass from Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. He had a 90-yard interception early in the game negated by a penalty.
