Bucs CB Brent Grimes back at practice Thursday
Cornerback Brent Grimes, who played only five snaps in Sunday's 19-17 win over Kansas City before leaving with a quad injury, returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis.
That was a welcome sight for coach Dirk Koetter and the Bucs, who have nickel cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs.
"Brent's just a guy you can put out there one-on-one and know he's going to cover his guy," Koetter said. "He was only in the game (five) plays the other day. He has a pass breakup. They catch the one and he punches the ball out. He's just got really good ball skills. "If they throw it to his side, like any corner, he's going to get beat once in a while. But he's going to make his share of plays over there."
Bucs G Kevin Pamphile also practiced again Thursday but Koetter said he still is in the concussion protocol. "Hopefully, not much longer," he said.
TE Luke Stocker (ankle) and RB Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) also practiced for a second straight day. G/C Evan Smith did not practice.
