Bucs' Evans, Anger pick up weekly NFL honors
Bucs WR Mike Evans, who caught the winning touchdown pass from Jameis Winston with 3:13 left in Sunday's win against Carolina, has been voted as the NFL's Clutch Performer of the Week.
Evans, headed to the Pro Bowl in Orlando for the first time later this month, matched his own Bucs record on the play by catching his 12th touchdown pass of the season.
Bucs punter Bryan Anger was honored as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after all five of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard line in the Bucs' win against Carolina. Anger, a Pro Bowl alternate, was signed to a five-year, $17-million contract extension on Friday.
BUCS SIGN TWO: The Bucs signed two more players to futures contracts Wednesday, including a kicker to compete with starter Roberto Aguayo.
The Bucs signed K John Lunsford, who played at Liberty in college and was an undrafted rookie with the 49ers last summer before being cut in preseason. Also signed was TE Kivon Cartwright, who was with the Bucs last year as an undrafted rookie out of Colorado State but was among their final preseason cuts.
