Bucs G Kevin Pamphile (concussion) out for Chiefs game

Bucs starting left guard Kevin Pamphile won't travel with the team to Kansas City this weekend, missing a second straight game with a concussion suffered two weeks ago against the Falcons.

Pamphile had practiced with full participation on Wednesday and Thursday but was not cleared from the protocol, so the Bucs won't have their offensive line at full strength for the second week in a row. Koetter declined to say if rookie Caleb Benenoch, who made his NFL debut Sunday, would start again, or whether center Ben Gottschalk, who stepped in for his own debut Sunday, would go at left guard.

Koetter had said Benenoch had a "rocky" debut in the win against the Bears, and if center Joe Hawley returns healthy after missing the Bears game with a knee injury, the Bucs could turn to Gottschalk, who filled in "admirably" according to Koetter.

The Bucs could make a change at kickoff return, as Koetter said WR Josh Huff was an option, though he "might have come lame in practice," which could keep the Bucs sticking with rookie safety Ryan Smith on kickoff returns.
