A year ago, Jameis Winston's first NFL pass resulted in an interception returned for a touchdown in a humiliating loss to Marcus Mariota and the Titans.

To say the least, the Bucs quarterback is off to a much better start this season.

Winston, who passed for 281 yards and four touchdowns in the Bucs' 31-24 win at Atlanta Sunday, was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week today.

Perhaps just as impressive was the fact that Winston's four touchdowns were to four different receivers -- Brandon Myers, Charles Sims, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Mike Evans. In fact, Winston connected with eight different players in completing 23 of 33 passes with four TDs and one INT. His 122.6 passer rating was the third-highest of any quarterback in the league.

Ironically, it was Mariota who won NFL Offensive Player of the Week honors after throwing four touchdowns in Week 1 of the 2015 season.

Winston is the first Bucs player to earn NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors since running back Bobby Rainey in Week 11 of the 2013 season. He's the first Bucs quarterback since Josh Freeman was so honored taice in 2010.
