Bucs' Jameis Winston ranks 30th on NFLPA sales list
He isn't as high as he was right after last year's draft, but Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston remains the team's hottest player for selling merchandise nationally, ranking 30th among all NFL players in year-end sales figures released by the NFLPA.
Winston, the top pick in last year's draft, finished second among all rookies -- Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, the second pick in last year's draft, ranked 16th on the overall list. Winston barely edged Raiders rookie receiver Amari Cooper, who was 31st.
After he was drafted, Winston ranked 10th among all NFL players in merchandise sales from March 1 to June 1 last year, with Mariota one spot ahead. By the end of August, both rookies had dropped down the list, with Winston 26th and Mariota 17th in sales over the previous six months.
