Bucs place Jeff Demps on injured reserve
The Bucs experiment with Jeff Demps appears to be over, at least for this season.
Demps, the former Gators star and Olympic sprinter, was put on injured reserve today by Tampa Bay, effectively ending his season. Demps played in just two games for the Bucs before suffering a groin injury that required surgery.
Demps had one rush for 14 yards and three catches for 21 yards. The Bucs had hoped to utilize Demps' legendary speed to make him a weapon in their offense.
To fill the roster spot, the Bucs claimed safety Bradley McDougald off waivers from the Chiefs. The undrafted free agent from Kansas played one game with the Chiefs this season.
