Bucs put WR Vincent Jackson on injured reserve
The Bucs continue to get a jump on offseason signings, placing receiver Vincent Jackson on injured reserve with a knee injury and using his roster spot to promote safety Kimario McFadden from the practice squad.
McFadden is the fourth player promoted from the practice squad since the start of last week, joining RB Mike James, WR Evan Spencer and TE Tevin Westbrook. Jackson was limited by injuries to just 10 games this season, finishing with 33 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bucs also signed three players to fill out their practice squad, adding former Louisville safety Gerod Holliman, former Appalachian State cornerback Joel Ross and cornerback C.J. Roberts, who played at Colorado State-Pueblo. All three are rookies who haven't played in any NFL games -- Holliman, who led the NCAA with 14 interceptions last season, was drafted by the Steelers and cut in preseason.
