Bucs set dates for offseason workouts
The Bucs have laid out their schedule for offseason workouts and media access, starting a week later than they're allowed with the team reconvening for conditioning April 11.
The big dates? Mandatory minicamp under first-year coach Dirk Koetter will be June 14-16, with the post-draft rookie minicamp on May 6-8 and three OTA practices open to the media on May 24 and 26 and June 2 and 9. The team's voluntary minicamp before the draft will be April 26-28, finishing literally hours before the draft begins on Thursday, April 28.
No timetable has been set for the start of training camp -- that usually comes after preseason game dates are announced -- but it should again be starting in the final week of July.
General manager Jason Licht's pre-draft press conference will be April 14. Having a new coach, the Bucs were eligible to start their offseason conditioning work on April 4, two weeks earlier than teams who didn't hire new head coaches. Instead, they'll begin April 11.
