The Bucs on Tuesday added former Florida State running back Lonnie Pryor, signing the undrafted rookie off the practice squad of the Jaguars.

Pryor, who has been on the Jaguars' practice squad, becomes the third fullback on the Bucs' 53-man roster, joining Erik Lorig and backup Spencer Larsen. Pryor, 6 feet and 229 pounds, could also be used as a traditional running back -- he rushed for 718 yards and 18 touchdowns in his FSU career.

The Bucs have had a high number of injuries in their backfield, with four backs going on injured reserve, including returning starter Doug Martin and draft pick Mike James. Newcomer Bobby Rainey rushed for 163 yards and had three total touchdowns Sunday in a win against Atlanta -- of the Bucs' six total backs now on roster, just Brian Leonard and Lorig were with the team at the start of the season. In addition to Rainey, the Bucs added running back Michael Hill last week from the Packers' practice squad, then Pryor on Tuesday.
