Bucs sign former FSU long-snapper Dax Dellenbach
The Bucs announced on Tuesday that they have signed former Florida State long-snapper Dax Dellenbach to a futures contract.
Dellenbach, 26, was a three-year starter at FSU from 2010-12, and he'll have a better chance to make Tampa Bay's roster because Andrew DePaola, the team's long-snapper for the last three seasons, tore the ACL in the season finale last month and is likely to miss the start of the 2017 season.
Dellenbach earned a tryout with the Bucs last spring during rookie minicamp, when former FSU punter Cason Beatty was also a tryout player, working with another former Seminoles specialist in current Bucs kicker Roberto Aguayo.
The Bucs will likely sign another long-snapper as healthy competition for Dellenbach at some point in the offseason.
