Another injury of note for Bucs
DENVER --The Bucs offered no immediate word on the specifics or severity of cornerback LeQuan Lewis' injury, but watching him navigate the visitor's locker room putting no weight on his injured knee using crutches, you could tell it was a serious ailment.
Lewis suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter and had to be taken from the sideline to the locker room on a cart.
Besides his role as a backup cornerback, Lewis also has been the Bucs' primary kickoff returner during the past few games. That means if he's out, as it appears he might, the Bucs will be looking for another candidate to return kicks.
This might be an opportunity to get rookie running back Michael Smith on the field, though at this point that's just speculation.
