Buccaneers expcting news on Josh Bidwell's status soon
Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik and coach Raheem Morris both indicated over the weekend that the status of punter Josh Bidwell will become clearer as early as today.
Bidwell developed sudden hip soreness last week and was unable to play Saturday night at Tennessee. The Bucs scrambled to replace him by signing veteran Dirk Johnson, and now the team is expecting more clarification on whether Bidwell will be able to return at some point.
Bidwell attended Saturday's game but did not speak with reporters. The 2005 Pro Bowl selection owns the top four single-season punting averages in team history.
