Buccaneers still deciding on Derrick Ward making road trip
" I'm feeling better," said Ward, who hasn't practiced this week. "It's just a wait-and-see thing right now. . . It's not up to me. I'm about to talk to the trainers right now"Ward said he woke up Monday with a sore knee but isn't certain how he suffered the injury. The soreness has lingered, though it has improved.
Elsewhere on the injury report, coach Raheem Morris said after the conclusion of practice a short while ago that DE Gaines Adams (groin), WR Antonio Bryant (knee) and QB Byron Leftwich (hip) are listed as questionable. Bryant will be a game-time decision but maintains he expects to play. Ditto for Adams.
Asked whether Adams, who has been struggling, could be out of the starting lineup for reasons other than his injury, Morris shot down the notion.
"I'm not saying he won't start," Morris said. "But if he doesn't start, you won't have to write that I benched him. It was because of his injury and the limited practice this week."
