Bucs Beat

Buccaneers stunned by Panthers' late-game performance

The Panthers had their way with the Bucs with a game-winning 16-play, 80-yard drive that consisted of 15 run plays, an astonishing example of one team  imposing its will on another.

The fashion in which the Bucs lost left players at a loss.

"I think the whole crowd could have probably called what they were running," LB Barrett Ruud said. "Everybody knew what they were going to do. It's hard to take. This is the toughest loss I've ever had. I've never had a loss like that, where you just get beat.

"We just got completely out-played. Our defense, we didn't play great all day, but we played good enough to win for 90 percent of the game, and on that last drive we didn't."

WR Antonio Bryant, still in disbelief afterward, said, "All I can say is I've never seen anything like it. It's past frustrating. It's unbelievable. That's not realistic to me."
