Bucs activate S Tanard Jackson, cut DE Maurice Evans

The Bucs activated safety Tanard Jackson on Saturday, making him eligible for today’s game against the Eagles.

Jackson, 24, rejoined the team Monday after serving a four-game suspension for violating the substance-abuse policy and appeared to be in good physical condition during practice last week, coach Raheem Morris said Friday.

“Tanard is going to play,” said Morris, who was unsure if Jackson will start. The third-year player will likely be in a rotation with Will Allen and Sabby Piscitelli.

To make room on the roster, the Bucs released defensive end Maurice Evans.
