Bucs among several teams to look at former Syracuse WR Williams
The Bucs were among several teams to attend a workout today for former Syracuse receiver Mike Williams, who was kicked off the team after seven games last season.
According to the National Football Post, the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Williams ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and had a 36 1/2 inch vertical leap.
The workout was held at the Thurman Thomas sports academy in Buffalo.
Last season, Williams caught 49 passes for 746 and six touchdowns. Williams said he 'made some mistakes,' that led to his dismissal. He is projected to be a second-round pick. The Bucs have a need at receiver and expected to target one after the first round.
Williams also has visited with Bucs officials in Tampa.
