Bucs announce 61K, draw actual crowd of 57K
The Bucs had a pretty good crowd in the house today, although large sections of it was filled with boisterous Steelers fans.
The team reported the number of tickets sold at 61,036, which is several thousand shy of a sellout. The stadium capacity is around 65,000. As for the actual attendance, that number was 57,616 according to the Tampa Sports Authority, which manages the stadium.
The game was blacked out on local television because it did not sell out by Thursday's 1 p.m. deadline -- 72 hours before kickoff.
