Bucs assistant Dwayne Stukes to replace Bisaccia
Some more details of today's news of Rich Bisaccia's departure are emerging.
We've now been told assistant defensive backs coach Dwayne Stukes will be replacing Bisaccia, who accepted a position today with the Chargers.
Stukes has been intimately involved with special teams for a while now, serving as special teams quality control coach in 2008 and continuing his involvement with special teams units while coaching the secondary. Stukes, a former University of Virginia player, has been with the Bucs since 2006. He joined the team as a coaches assistant under former coach Jon Gruden.
General manager Mark Dominik released this statement about Stukes.
"This organization and our players are excited to have Coach Stukes in this role," he said. "For the past five years Coach Stukes has aided in the preparation and development of young players. He's ready for this opportunity."
