Bucs CB Wright was limited Friday, not ruled out for Sunday's game vs. Falcons
Eric Wright has been down but still is not out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Wright, who aggravated an Achilles/ankle injury and did not finish the game against Carolina, was limited in practice on Friday.
Coach Greg Schiano said Wright has not been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
"We're going to have to wait and see,'' Schiano said. "I think he's done enough that we'll see. He's not ruled out of the game, so we're going to have to see.''
If Wright can't play, rookie Leonard Johnson, the former Largo High School quarterback, would likely start at right cornerback opposite E.J. Biggers. LeQuan Lewis would be the nickel corner in passing situations.
Wright has been unable to finish the last two games because of an Achilles/ankle injury.
"It's going to be very challenging and now you have some moving parts on our side,'' Schiano said. "But that's what it is. Just get ready and whatever it is -- if he can play, he can, if he can't he can't -- but God willing we're kicking off at 1 o'clock and we've got to be ready to play.''
