Bucs coordinator Mike Sullivan evaluating Freeman on 'body of work', not recent games

The struggles of Josh Freeman continue to be a common topic of discussion at One Buc Place, with offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan addressing it today in his weekly news conference.

Like Schiano, Sullivan has made it a point to not overreact in the wake of Freeman’s four-interception performance against the Saints and his slump in the past three games.

For Sullivan, the focus is on Freeman’s performance over the course of the entire season – not just December.

“I think the thing that nobody can argue with is the high level of execution that has been on display at times out there on the field,” Sullivan said. “Not just the deep ball or the game-winning drive versus Carolina. We can go on and on about some of the positives, and you certainly can point (out) some of the things that could improve, that could be better as part of continuing to grow. It’s an ongoing process. We are excited (about) the entire body of work.

“There are so many things that we need to improve, that we took a few steps back on, that go well beyond Josh or any individual player.”
