If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to erase the memory of a 45-point loss to San Francisco, they may have to do it without two of their best players.

Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is being called "week to week" with a high ankle sprain by head coach Raheem Morris. And running back LaGarrette Blount could also miss Sunday's Saints game with a knee injury.

"Right now I'm not real motivated to say (McCoy's) going to definitely play this week," Morris said. "But I'm not ready to count him out either.

"I don't want to rule (Blount) out, but I'm not looking at him. It is what it is. Next man up. I'd like to get more detailed information on him. I'll call him day-to-day for now."

McCoy was injured with less than a minute to go in the first quarter after trying to make a tackle on 49ers running back Frank Gore. He did not return to the game. Morris said he would move second year tackle Brian Price to nosetackle and put Frank Okam in McCoy's place if McCoy can't play. He also said rookie Da'Quan Bowers would fill McCoy's spot on passing downs.

Blount went down in the third quarter after making a 29 yard catch from Freeman and getting tackled at the knees by D Goldson. He did not return. If Blount can't go, Earnest Graham will get a bulk of the carries. Kregg Lumpkin and Allen Bradford will also get some carries.
