Bucs DE Gaines Adams (ankle) questionable for Sunday's game
Why mess with success?
For the second straight week, defensive end Gaines Adams is listed as questionable and may be a game-time decision. Adams, who suffered an ankle injury in practice Wednesday, missed practice Wednesday and Thursday and was limited to a walk-through Friday.
Last week, Adams missed several practices with a groin strain and wound up having his best game of the season with a sack, fumble recovery and pass defensed.
"(Last week), I was thinking he could go out there, start the game and hopefully get him in on some pass rushing downs,'' Morris siad of Adams. "He ended up starting the game and playing really strong. Then there was a point when you're looking at him saying..."is he okay?' But he fared well, so I kind of have that same mentality this week.''
Adams said he was improving.
"For the most part, I'm feeling real good and looking forward to playing on Sunday,'' Adams said. "(Last week), it was just a decision I had to make and at this point in time of our season, it was something I had to do. It was unfortunate because as a defense we played pretty good. Obviously, we've got a lot more room for improvement and we've just got to find a way to get a win.''
Adams was limited today but several players returned, including running back Earnest Graham (hamstring) and cornerback Torrie Cox. WR Antonio Bryant (knee) also able to participate in the walk-through and expected to play Sunday at Philadelphia.
The only players ruled out: center Jeff Faine (triceps) and defensive end Kyle Moore (knee).
