Bucs DT Amobi Okoye out with minor knee surgery
Bucs defensive tackle Amobi Okoye missed today's workout and won't participate in this week's minicamp because he is undergoing a minor knee operation today.
Okoye elected to have the procedure done to prevent further complications with the knee later on. The minor nature of the knee scope means there shouldn't be any long-term impact for Okoye, who is fully expected to be on the field for the start of training camp in late July.
The Bucs are leaning heavily on Okoye to provide depth along a defensive line that already has suffered a major loss after end Da'Quan Bowers' ruptured Achilles' tendon.
