For the Bucs, it's about finishing

One of Bucs coach Raheem Morris' biggest points of emphasis this season was finishing games.

Tampa Bay had done so well last year of winning games, late, with "Captain Comeback" QB Josh Freeman and his fourth-quarter abilities. But one of the main problems for the Bucs (4-7) this year has been finishing, with Morris saying they've had three games this year where they had a chance to take the lead in the fourth but failed. And the loss to the Titans Sunday was another example.

"Last year just magic was happening for us and this year it’s not," Bucs DE Tim Crowder said. "It’s a year to year business. You've got to go back to the drawing boards each year. You can't get complacent or big headed. You've got to come to work every day, every week because it’s a week to week, year to year job."

Bucs DE Adrian Clayborn pointed out the team had done well in containing Titans RB Chris Johnson in the first half, but he did plenty of damage in the fourth en route to a 190-yard day.

"It's not 45 minutes, it's not 59, it's 60 minutes," Clayborn said. "We've got to play it all. We've just got to finish. We play good for a half, three quarters, and somebody steps out of their gap and Johnson runs for 50 yards. It's very frustrating. But we did it to ourselves. We can't blame anybody but ourselves."
