Bucs lineup set: E.J. Biggers starts for Aqib Talib, Jamon Meredith gets call at right guard
The 1-3 Bucs are preparing for kickoff against the 1-4 Kansas City Chiefs here at Raymond James Stadium, and the teams have announced their lineups.
The Bucs, reacting to Saturday’s big news, have inserted cornerback E.J. Biggers into the starting lineup in place of Aqib Talib, who begins serving a four-game suspension today. That also pushes everyone up one spot on the depth chart, including Brandon McDonald. Look for him to be the nickel corner today.
At right guard, the Bucs did make a change after all. They have decided to start Jamon Meredith, contrary to what we were told on Friday, when Jeremy Trueblood was thought to be the choice. The decision sends Ted Larsen to the bench.
The Bucs inactives today are: running back Michael Smith, defensive back Keith Tandy, linebacker Najee Goode, guard-center Cody Wallace, receiver Chris Owusu, tight end Danny Noble and defensive end Markus White.
