Bucs receiver Urrutia arrested for license violation

Bucs receiver Mario Urrutia had a brief run-in with the law Sunday night when he was arrested for a drivers license violation by Hillsborough County deputies.

Urrutia, 24, was accused of a violation of non-resident drivers license, which is classified as a misdemeanor in Florida. He was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday at the corner of Waters Avenue and Country Hollow Drive in Tampa and released on a $500 bond at 2:06 a.m. according to an arrest report.

Urrutia spent most of last season on the practice squad but was on the active roster for three games. He was present for the first day of OTAs on Monday but did not participate because of an injury.

Given the mild nature of this infraction, it presumably won't affect Urrutia's status with the Bucs. Urrutia was originally a seventh-round pick of the Bengals in 2008 from Louisville.
