Bucs sign defensive end Jeff Charleston
The Bucs have signed free-agent defensive end Jeff Charleston, a sixth-year NFL veteran and member of the 2009 Saints Super Bowl team.
Charleston has played in 65 games in his career with four starts, 114 tackles, eight sacks and three forced fumbles. During the 2009 Super Bowl campaign, Charleston played in all 16 games and three postseason contests.
The Bucs are trying to account for the loss of starting right end Adrian Clayborn, who was placed on injured reserve Monday with torn knee ligaments.
