Bucs waiting on word on possible serious knee injury for Kareem Huggins
The Bucs not only lost to the Saints 31-6 today, they also sustained a couple of injuries worth noting.
Running back Kareem Huggins sustained a knee injury that looks quite serious. Word out of the locker room after the game was that he may have torn ligaments, which obviously would threaten to end his season. The injury did not look good, with Huggins taking a direct hit to his knee while his foot was planted in the turf. He'll likely undergo tests in the morning to determine the severity of the injury.
His absence left Cadillac Williams as the only tailback on the roster who was active for the game. LeGarrette Blount and Kregg Lumpkin were both inactive today.
Elsewhere, fullback Earnest Graham aggravated a hamstring strain and was unable to return. He indicated he felt confident he would be able to work through it and play next week, given some rest this week, but he also allowed that hamstring injuries can be quite troublesome and have a tendency to linger.
