Bucs will sign undrafted Ole Miss QB Snead, Tenn LB McCoy; ink FSU WR Parker
The Bucs began recruiting undrafted free agents and will sign Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead.
The 6-foor-3, 215 pound Snead will be the Bucs' fourth quarterback behind Josh Freeman, Josh Johnson and Rudy Carpenter.
Former Florida State receiver Preston Parker said Saturday he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Bucs.
Tampa Bay is close to signing Tennessee linebacker Rico McCoy. General manager Mark Dominik confirmed the Bucs interest in both Snead and McCoy but said he had not received faxes of signed contracts from either player.
Snead shocked everyone by declaring for the draft with one more season of eligibility and the decision did not pay off as he went undrafted.
Snead struggled last season, throwing an SEC-high 20 interceptions.
