Deadline for franchise/tranisition tags looming but Bucs will pass

Bucs general manager Mark Dominik has said the team won't place a franchise or transition tag on any player by Thursday's 4 p.m. deadline.

Receiver Antonio Bryant earned $9.88-million as the Bucs' franchise player last season and will become an unrestricted free agent March 5 unless a new deal can be struck.

Dominik plans to meet with Bryant's agent this week in Indianapolis but as yet, there have been no substantive talks.

Here's a list of free agents who already have been tagged, courtesy of

Patriots -- DT Vince Wilfork (franchise)

Steelers -- K Jeff Reed (transition)

Raiders -- DE Richard Seymour (franchise)

Packers -- NT Ryan Pickett

Seahawks -- K Olindo Mare (franchise)

49ers -- NT Aubrayo Franklin (franchise)
