Defensive end Adrian Clayborn could be lost after serious right knee injury
ARLINGTON, Texas – The Bucs’ loss today at Dallas might have gone from bad to worse.
An emotional Adrian Clayborn left the locker room here at Cowboys Stadium wearing a brace from the thigh to ankle on his right leg, and early indications are that his injury is quite serious, with several players suggesting it is season-ending.
The second-year defensive end has been one of the club’s more consistent defensive players, and teammates dread to think of losing him.
“He’s the beast on our defense,” defensive tackle Gerald McCoy said. “You can always expect a big hit from him or a dynamic play of some sort. That’s what he means to our defense.”
Coach Greg Schiano wouldn’t comment specifically on the injury.
“We’re going to have to wait and see until tomorrow,” he said.
