Defensive end Michael Bennett expects to play vs. Bengals

As the Bucs look to increase the heat on opposing quarterbacks, they might turn to Michael Bennett for the first time this season.

Bennett, a former Texas A&M standout who played sparingly for the Bucs last season, had some real flashes in the preseason and showed some quickness. He recorded a fair share of highlights in the exhibition season and led the Bucs with two sacks.

But Bennett has been inactive for each of the three regular season games. But this week, he's gotten strong indications that he'll be activated and will get a chance to play against the Bengals. Bennett is versatile. He's played mostly at left defensive end, but he's also been working at right defensive end and, occasionally, as an interior pass rusher.
